I’ve very excited about the World Cup coming up in June! There was this free jumble of magazines called Mine: My Magazine, it was awesome – and solidified my ‘going to the World Cup fantasy’, with an article from Food & Wine magazine chronicling a fantasy South African winery trip which looked AMAZING. It was basically a trip where you drank a lot, traveled and made olive oil! Awesome!! I would of course round out this fantasy by seeing as many World Cup games as was humanly possible!

However, that’s not going to happen. BUT, you can do both minus the travel and a lot of the expense. First the booze, South African wine doesn’t seem to be difficult to get in the US, beer however is a different matter. It’s probably just best to cruise your local liqueur stores, unless you’re from a state that allows booze to shipped – not all do even for the domestic stuff.  Although you can always just drink some cheap domestic stuff and pretend Vanilla Ice is serenading you.

While you’re indulging yourself you’ve still got 90+ days until the World Cup even starts! You can play FIFA World Cup 2010 (it comes out 4/27!) In the meantime you can watch all of the millions of tutorial videos over at EA’s site for the game. And enjoy ESPN’s 101 features in 101 days!
